Kashmir Bar Association at CJI
Kashmir Bar Association on Saturday asked Chief Justice of India (CJI) N.V. Ramana to intervene in resolving issues relating to prompt dispensation of justice to uphold rule of law and freedoms constitutional.
“The Kashmir Bar Association has asked CJI to help resolve issues related to the speed of justice delivery. The Bar Association has also invited the Chief Justice of India to visit the Kashmir Bar Association,” the Bar Association said in a press release.
He said the President of the Kashmir Bar Association, Barrister NA Ronga and Chief Spokesperson, Barrister GN Shaheen met with CJI on Saturday at Lalit in Srinagar.
“The Association raised important issues with the Honorable Chief Justice during the meeting regarding the justice delivery system in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. The Honorable Chief Justice was delighted to give a patient hearing and assured that corrective measures will be discussed with affected wards,” Bar said in the statement.
He said the executive members of the Kashmir Bar Association along with the President of the JKHCBA attended the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new High Court complex in Bemina at the invitation of Hon. Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir and High Court Justice of Ladakh, Pankaj Mittal.
