WEST CHESTER — Family law, litigation and criminal defense attorney Kelly A. Jurs, of the law firm Gawthrop Greenwood, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Chester County Bar Association.
“We are very pleased to have Kelly join our board this year,” said Matt Holliday, executive director of the Chester County Bar Association. “This august body has helped shape Chester County’s legal community for nearly 200 years, and Kelly will be a great addition to that legacy.”
With 15 years of litigation experience in the Chester County court system, Kelly practices family law and is a member of the Pennsylvania Council of Mediators. She handles all aspects of family law, including prenuptial and postnuptial planning, divorce, equitable distribution, alimony, child custody, property settlement, and related litigation and mediation.

She represents clients in felony and misdemeanor matters, from the filing of a criminal complaint through trial review and post-trial, on matters ranging from impaired driving, possession, theft, de facto and drug trafficking to first degree homicide. Kelly also handles plea negotiations, treatment court resolutions, probation and parole violations as well as juvenile court.
Active in public service and her community, Jurs was recently appointed to the Grantmaking Committee of the Women and Girls Fund. She serves on the Board of Directors of Marshallton Conservation Trust Inc. and the Board of Trustees of the Charles A. Melton Arts and Education Center.
